法国国家科学研究中心为法国国家级公共科研机构。法国国家科学研究中心,简称“CNRS”,成立于1939年10月19日,隶属于法国高等教育和研究部,是法国最大的政府研究机构,也是欧洲最大的基础科学研究机构,同时也是世界顶尖的科学研究机构之一 。
它的目标是探索生命世界、物质、宇宙和人类社会的运作。CNRS因其在科学领域的卓越贡献而在国际上享有盛誉,被认为是世界科学技术发展的“风向标”。在2020自然指数排名中,CNRS名列世界第四。
CNRS现有研究人员33,000余名,下属国内及国际研究单位1,100余家,年度经费预算约33亿欧元(约合人民币260亿元) 。它的总部设在法国巴黎,并且在世界多地拥有直属行政办公室,包括北京、布鲁塞尔、东京、新加坡、华盛顿特区、波恩、莫斯科、突尼斯、约翰内斯堡、智利圣地亚哥、以色列及新德里等 。
CNRS在法国国内的科研机构多为集高等教育及科学研究为一体的科研混合单位(UMR),依托于大学的优势学科平台,UMR在相关领域的研究实力在法国乃至全球处于领先地位 。同时,CNRS也拥有36个国际科研混合单位 (UMI)。CNRS自1995年在北京设立代表处以来,已成为中法两国科技合作交流的重要桥梁,并将持续不断地促进两国之间的战略性合作 。
CNRS is a national public research institution in France. It is headquartered in Paris, France, and has direct executive offices in Beijing, Brussels, Tokyo, Singapore, Washington DC, Bonn, Moscow, Tunis, Johannesburg, Santiago, Chile, Israel and New Delhi.
Most of CNRS 'research institutions in France are hybrid research units (UMR) integrating higher education and scientific research. Relying on the university's superior discipline platform, UMR's research strength in related fields is in a leading position in France and even the world. CNRS also has 36 International Research Mixed Units (UMI). Since its establishment in Beijing in 1995, CNRS has become an important bridge of scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges between China and France, and will continue to promote the strategic cooperation between the two countries.
