2017年7月1日,东京大学8个系和组织,法律与政治研究生院、人文社会学研究生院、文理研究生院、教育研究生院、信息研究学院、亚洲高级研究所、史学研究所和综合图书馆合作建立了一个合作研究组织——人文中心。
人文中心(HMC)旨在为人文学科和邻近领域的杰出研究人员创建新的协作和跨部门研究平台。它涵盖了广泛的领域,包括人文社会科学的众多学科。自建校以来,东京大学在人文学科和其他领域的许多学科中为日本和世界各地的学术研究做出了重大贡献。人文中心以人文学科为核心知识,应对目前在全球范围内快速发展的社会变化。
HMC 有两个组成部分。第一个是骊住牛尾田东亚人文计划,该计划通过计划研究项目开展活动,促进合作机构的多名研究人员之间的合作研究,以及通过支持属于合作机构的个体研究人员之间海外合作的开放研究项目和支持国际研究会议(包括在线会议)的开放研究项目。 合作研究人员作为研究员加入HMC。第二个是人文联络,在2020学年新成立,它建立了一个大学研究管理员(URA)系统,旨在超越现有的框架,开展更广泛的研究活动。
The Humanities Center (HMC) is a collaborative research institution designed to create a new collaborative, cross-sectoral research platform for outstanding researchers in the humanities and adjacent fields. It covers a wide range of fields, including philosophy, history, language, literature, education, art, architecture, law, politics and the culture of everyday life.
Since its founding, the University of Tokyo has made significant contributions to academic research in Japan and around the world in many disciplines in the humanities and other fields. Today, there is a strong demand for the creation of new academic fields, with the humanities at the core of knowledge, in response to the social changes currently taking place at a rapid pace across the globe.
Therefore, on July 1, 2017, eight departments and organizations of the University, namely the Graduate School of Law and Politics, the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Education, the School of Information Studies, the Asian Institute for Advanced Studies, the Institute of History and the General Library, were inaugurated. The HMC was established as a cooperative research organization and is fulfilling its responsibilities.
The HMC has two components. Co-researchers join the HMC as fellows. The second, People-to-people Liaison, was newly established in the 2020 academic year to establish a system of University Research Managers (URA), which aims to move beyond the existing framework to a wider range of research activities.
