Established in 2017, the Center for Health Services Research (CHSR) is a multidisciplinary center for research, counseling and postgraduate training. The center conducts a dedicated health research program with globally recognized experts covering a wide range of disciplines including aging and geriatrics, renal medicine, behavioral sciences, biostatistics, health economics, clinical informatics, and telemedicine.
The Centre undertakes competitively funded research projects and provides professional consulting services to a wide range of national and international clients. The Center's world-renowned graduate training programs are world-class and can take place in many of the disciplines mentioned above.
The collective vision of the research team is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health systems and services for those who need them most.
The center has a number of research groups dedicated to delivering outcomes for health providers and, more importantly, for patients.
Research at the research center sits at the interface between established research and clinical settings, focusing on individuals with chronic diseases, frailty, or disadvantaged by health problems. Researchers include academic clinicians, scientists, practising clinicians and health administrators with the common goal of providing acceptable and sensitive solutions to patients in Australia and overseas.
The Multidisciplinary Research Centre provides a powerful platform for health services research, enabling the refinement and expansion of existing programmes. Over time, the center's research topics will grow and further enhance our ability to deliver outcomes for health providers and, more importantly, patients.
