(一)愿景使命
为了促进化学化工学科的交叉融合发展,推动双一流建设,天津大学在“强工、厚理、振文、兴医”的总体学科布局下,于2019年1月12日挂牌成立分子+研究院,姚建年院士任院长。研究院将围绕“新化学、新化工、新产业”的发展战略,从全新的科学思想出发,从全新的角度来研究新物质生成,调控化学反应新途径,以化学为中心学科开创新型分子+路径,推动化学化工学科融合与发展,促进化工基础理论及相关工艺设备创新升级,实现科学的源头创新带动产业转型创新发展。
(二)领军人物
姚建年,中国科学院院士,物理化学家。曾任国家自然科学基金委员会副主任。现任中国化学会理事长,英国皇家化学会和国际纳米制造学会会士,日本科学技术振兴机构中国综合研究中心顾问。长期从事新型化学功能材料的基础和应用探索研究,在低维材料、精准催化剂设计和应用等方面做出了开创性贡献。迄今Nature, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem.等国际化学和材料界等杂志上发表论文600余篇,担任《CCS Chemistry》主编。曾两次获国家自然科学奖二等奖(第一获奖人);2015年获何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖;2016年获中国科学院杰出成就奖。
(三)学术支撑
分子+研究院坐落于天津大学卫津路校区第11教学楼,总建筑面积9331.9平米。研究院现已初步建立以双球差校正透射电子显微镜为代表的高端仪器平台,包括场发射透射电子显微镜、600 M核磁共振波谱仪、400 M核磁共振波谱仪、高分辨质谱、基质辅助激光解吸/电离-时间飞行质谱仪、场发射扫描电子显微镜、X射线衍射仪等大型仪器设备,为化学、化工、材料、生物、药学、电子等相关学科的科学研究和人才培养提供有力支撑。

(2) Leaders
Yao Jiannian, academician, Chinese Academy of Sciences, physical chemist. He was deputy director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Currently, he is the Chairman of The Chinese Chemical Society, a member of the Royal Chemical Society and the International Society of Nanomanufacturing, and a consultant of the China Comprehensive Research Center of Japan Science and Technology Agency. He has been engaged in the basic and application research of new chemical functional materials for a long time, and has made pioneering contributions to the design and application of low-dimensional materials and precise catalysts. Nature, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. He has published more than 600 papers in the international journal of Chemistry and materials, and is chief editor of CCS Chemistry. He has twice won the second prize of national Natural Science Award (the first winner); Science and Technology Progress Award of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation in 2015; In 2016, he received the Outstanding Achievement Award of The Chinese Academy of Sciences.
(iii) Academic support
Molecular + Research Institute is located in no. 11 Teaching Building, Weijin Road Campus, Tianjin University, with a total construction area of 9331.9 square meters. The Institute has initially established a high-end instrument platform represented by the double spherical aberration correction transmission electron microscope. Including field emission transmission electron microscope, 600 M NMR spectrometer, 400 M NMR spectrometer, high resolution mass spectrometry, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time flight mass spectrometer, field emission scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffrotometer and other large instruments and equipment, It provides strong support for scientific research and personnel training in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, biology, pharmacy, electronics and other related disciplines.
