功能复合材料与结构研究所隶属于浙江大学材料科学与工程学院,成立于2015年5月,创立所长彭华新教授。研究所主要针对新型结构与功能一体化复合材料开展相应的基础研究与应用开发,旨在建设成为新型复合材料领域科学研究、人才培养与学术交流的重要基地。
截至2020年4月,研究所拥有教授/正高职研究员 7名;副教授 2 名;专职研究人员1名;国内外聘用兼任教授/博导8人;博士后、实验技术人员及科研辅助人员14人;博士/硕士研究生50余人。
研究所依托浙江大学硅材料国家重点实验室、浙江大学电镜中心、国家级力学实验示范中心,重点面向国家在交通运输、机械装备与纳米科技等领域对先进复合材料与结构的重大需求。研究队伍实力雄厚,实验设备配套完备,先后承担和参与多项国家重大科技专项、重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金等课题,陆续在 Prog. Mater. Sci.、Nature Nanotech.、PNAS、Adv. Mater.、JACS、ANGEW、Adv. Energy Mater. 等期刊发表高影响力论文,开发和制备出的多种复合材料构件已经获得初步应用。

The Institute of Functional Composites and Structures (IAMM), affiliated to the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, was founded in May 2015 by Professor Peng Huaxin. The Institute focuses on the basic research and application development of new structural and functional composite materials, aiming to become an important base for scientific research, personnel training and academic exchanges in the field of new composite materials.
As of April 2020, the Institute has 7 professors/full-time higher vocational researchers; 2 Associate professors; 1 full-time researcher; 8 adjunct professors/doctoral supervisors from home and abroad; 14 postdocs, experimental technicians and research assistants; More than 50 doctoral/master students.
The institute relies on the State Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials, Zhejiang University electron Microscope Center, and the National Mechanical Experiment and Demonstration Center, focusing on the country's major demand for advanced composite materials and structures in the fields of transportation, mechanical equipment and nanotechnology. With a strong research team and complete experimental equipment, the team has undertaken and participated in a number of major national science and technology projects, key RESEARCH and development programs, and national Natural Science Foundation of China. Mater. Sci., Nature Nanotech., PNAS, Adv. Mater., JACS, ANGEW, Adv. Energy Mater. A variety of composite components developed and fabricated have been applied preliminarily.
