The Lyon Institute of Nanotechnology, founded by the École Centrale polytechnique de Lyon, is committed to the development of multidisciplinary research in the field of micro and nanotechnology, including functional materials, electronic technology, photonics and photovoltaic technology, biotechnology and health, with a total of 245 employees. In 2012, new infrastructure was introduced within the framework of the CPER I@L-NanoLyon project, with a 600 m² cleanroom. Research and development of deposition, lithography, etching, annealing and other general technologies. He also conducts in-depth research in special technical fields such as functional oxides, III-V semiconductors, silicon, photonics, photovoltaics, biochips, microfluidics, and polymers.
The institute's experimental facilities are complete, computing and simulation equipment is used as the institute's high-performance server or support development software, and various experimental equipment helps observe and analyze, supporting the in-depth development of nanotechnology research. Combining scientific research with applied practice, it covers major economic areas such as information and communication, energy environment and bio-health, including components and circuits of electronic and photonic technologies, photovoltaic solar energy and the environment, energy recovery microsystems, biochips, microlabs, sensors, etc.
