中国建筑科学研究院有限公司(原中国建筑科学研究院,简称“中国建研院”),成立于1953年,原隶属于建设部,2000年由科研事业单位转制为科技型企业,2017年12月完成公司制改制,隶属于国务院国有资产监督管理委员会,是全国建筑行业最大的综合性研究和开发机构,具有土木工程一级学科博士、硕士学位授予权和建筑技术科学二级学科硕士学位授予权,建有土木工程博士后科研流动站,拥有包括院士、设计大师、数百名各领域知名专家和一大批中青年科技骨干在内的优秀人才队伍。
中国建研院始终把服务公益事业、推进行业技术进步作为己任,面向全国的建设事业,以建筑工程为主要研究对象,以应用研究和开发研究为主,致力于解决我国工程建设中的关键技术问题;负责编制与管理我国主要的工程建设技术标准和规范,开展行业所需的共性、基础性、公益性技术研究,承担国家建筑工程、空调设备、太阳能热水器、电梯、化学建材、建筑节能的质量监督检验和测试任务。科研及业务工作涵盖建筑结构、地基基础、工程抗震、建筑环境与节能、建筑软件、建筑机械化、建筑防火、施工技术、建筑材料等专业中的70个研究领域,近年来又加强了绿色建筑成套技术、新能源应用技术、防灾减灾技术以及智能化集成技术等的研究与开发。目前拥有北京和廊坊两个研发基地,北京通州基地是建筑安全与环境国家重点实验室所在地。
